I had to watch many times to realize that they were pulling off the excess and not stripping it of the wheel completely

Once removed a year old layer of dip on a wheel, and was able to pull it off all in one piece. The dead plastixoskeleton still hangs proudly in the garage.

If I ever accidentally pass a can of bronze-ish Plasti-dip in a store I may have to dip the Camry's wheels. Cause green and gold is sexay.

the bronze isn't really gold, you need to get the vintage gold color to really get the legit gold color. Even the gold metalizer over anything else doesn't give that gold pop you would want.
